Dad was born in Stepney, London and Mum in Brockley, Kent.

They met at Covent Garden, where Mum worked as a secretary & Dad as buyer.

Dad was educated at Raines Grammar School, described by King George V as one of the best in London
Mum was educated at Brockley School where she first showed her business and secretarial talents.
Dad had cousins on the Isle of Wight where he and Mum were later to spend their honeymoon.
Mum was also known as Pauline. Here she is in Kew in 1936

Mum in 1939 who raised not only first born Malcolm but added Phyllis to the family.

Dad in 1939, a member of the Constabulary. Shortly after war broke out, he joined the RAF and served in India.
1940 Malcolm is born in July as the Battle of Britain raged above their heads. Dad has already enlisted.
